The name
JACOBWAS THREE.
Jacob’s Cry, founded in 2025, was inspired by the true story of Jacob, a three-year-old orphaned boy who died in 2005 from a treatable chest infection due to lack of antibiotics amid civil war fallout. Co-Founder Murielle Sanchez cared for Jacob, igniting a mission to provide aid, empower communities, share Jesus’ love, and fight modern day slavery.

Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? Where the name went
THE BURDEN LANDED IN PAKISTAN.
The Saleem family felt burdened to share the gospel with their community in Pakistan. As they traveled through the villages sharing the hope of Jesus, they found brothers and sisters trapped in slavery, in need of clean water, children starving, and a hunger in the people to read the Bible. They prayed for a miracle, and God answered. After hundreds of unanswered messages, David felt a prompting to respond to Augustine. That is where the relationship began.
